Most of my friends know I’m bi. The ones I met after the whole suicide episode but the old ones don’t. Oddly enough my lesbian aunts also don’t know. Keep thinking it’s time I get out of the closet. It’s one of the last comfort zones I hold on to… maybe time for a Facebook post.

Maybe I’ll make a film with a score just for you

I spoke in strokes across the pages. Memories and emotions represented in shapes and colors. You only spoke in sounds strummed and played into space. I loved how your harmonies caressed my ears. How the chords transpired into vibrant colors onto my canvas. It’s only understood that my visions went unseen by desensitized eyes. But I still watched you play, struggle and grow. Your melodies turned to symphonies that played across my ears vibrating down to my toes. I felt the rhythms but could not manifest them. I couldn’t return your ethereal song….so I tried to make you see. I wonder as I pour myself into my art, feeling a buzz, but craving more as a drunk does the wine, will you feel what all my strokes mean? The outlines, the background and foreground coming into existence, a vision of beauty. Of passion. Of longing to fix your sight. For you my onlooker, the single person in a gallery full of memories. All about you.

And sometimes people push you away just because they’re afraid of what will happen if you get too close.
